Kinda crappy pic, but its all I could manage with no daylight. House Mountain is a great place to hike. Pretty cool geography and the steep pitches will keep you heart rate up.

Sweet pic stegall... bet the colors and view were steller in person! kinda looks like there is snow on the trees.. was this actually from yesterday? i've been out there once over xmas and totally agree that it's an awesome spot esp for being so close to knoxville! I need to get back, just didn't have my headlamp and other gear to hit up the hike yestdy at kinda short notice.

Brought my geared bike down from the Gap today to try out a new stem adjustment. Having never ridden a geared bike on the greenway I didn't realize how much fun it is. Now I know why those guys like to go really fast. Too bad its not smooth as a parking lot with all the root-speed bumps, but then it does keep the speeds down and within safe limits. Sure don't want to be running down the wired up walkers with their MP3s.
